The WY1SB is an ornate tobacco sunburst version of the K Yairi WY1, designed by Bob Weir from the Grateful Dead, adopted by many fine artists including Ani di Franco and Joe Bonamassa. The super profile of the neck is adapted to rapid chord changes, and the smaller body is particularly comfortable. Slightly deeper than an OM, the shorter scale and Direct Coupled Bridge make this instrument responsive to say the least. The cedar top combined with Maple back and sides gives really excellent projection as always with maple, and a sound that is distinctly adapted to lead players as it cuts through the mix of other instruments. Gorgeous Gotoh tuners, and plenty of attention to detail, like the intricate abalone binding make this a super attractive guitar for finger style players and strummers and in fact just about anybody who is serious about playing acoustic guitar on stage. The tobacco sunburst finish is supremely eye-catching. Amplification is with the tried and trusted 600T mark2, which offers a complete control panel allowing precise management of every sound parameter at you fingertips. An elegant and refined instrument for the most demanding musician.
