All the latches and hinges are riveted in the aluminium valence that surrounds the case, and this also serves to give extra protection and structural rigidity, while being capable of actually absorbing the impact of hard shocks. The plush velour will not damage the varnish of your instrument. Thermal protection is extended compared to other cases, as Hiscox cases are manufactured with injected liquid polyurethane that hardens and actually moulds with the outer shell and the inner material. This technology actually absorbs the shocks from the outside, while protecting the instrument also from changes in temperature.
