The FYM96 is an OM sized wide neck guitar with a slim body, and all the characteristics of a K Yairi Masterworks instrument. The finest selection of naturally aged woods, combine to give superior tone and playability. Ovankol back and sides,  spruce top, ebony fingerboard on a mahogany neck. While giving surprising volume and projection, the instrument is extremely responsive. Ovankol gives a warm, round tone, great for accompanying vocals. The ‘distressed ‘ top concept developed by K Yairi is intended to open the wood and lighten the top, to increase resonance in the most natural way. Vintage style Gotoh mechanics and a traditional bridge, bone nut and bridge altogether give a real old timer feel to this guitar.
